YOU’RE INVITED to join the Women of Cranaleith Spiritual Center for our 2026 Women’s Movement Day! A full day Friend Raiser celebrating women’s progress to date and visions yet to be.

Come for one, some or all four movements of the day.
(Spirit, World & Body Programs – No Charge; Luncheon – $35; Donations greatly appreciated.)

  • 11am – Movement of the Spirit
    Reflective & contemplative prayer & poetry exchange (led by Sr. Maria DiBello)
  • 12pm – Movement of the Power of Women*
    Talk & Tea Luncheon with Harriet Tubman – An Interactive Living History Portrayal by Millicent Sparks.
    Join us for an exhilarating and informative afternoon as Living History performer Millicent Sparks breathes life into one of the 19th Century’s most celebrated figures: Harriet Tubman.  Share an up close and personal visit with this heroic icon who, throughout her life, demonstrated an unyielding and fearless resolve to obtain liberty and social justice for herself and others.
  • 2pm – Movement of the World
    Author & Earth Advocate Eileen Flannigan discusses her book, “Common Ground: How the Crisis of the Earth is Saving Us from our Illusion of Separation
    Eileen Flanagan shows that “the illusion of separation” – the fallacy that we are separate from each other and the Earth that sustains us – is at the root of our interlocking environmental crises, and that it’s often politicians and corporations who benefit by keeping the rest of us divided by race, class, religion, and generation.
    (Books will be available for sale in our Gift Shop).
  • 3pm – Movement of the Body
    Unite and learn a low-impact group dance with Praise Dance Instructor, Kya Johnson.

Maria DiBello, RSM is a member of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. Her experience includes adult faith formation, pastoral ministry, spiritual direction, and retreat ministry. She also has experience in elementary and secondary education. Millicent Sparks

Millicent Sparks has been portraying Harriet Tubman since 2002 and considers this legendary figure to be her signature character.  Ms. Sparks is a lifelong history buff and develops and produces historically accurate living history performance programs (Millicent Sparks Productions, Inc.) with special emphasis on the African American Experience.

Eileen Flanagan is an award-winning author, speaker, and leader of spiritually-grounded activism. Kya is a faith-driven therapist who is passionate about helping others grow emotionally and spiritually. As a young Black woman, she values creating safe, welcoming, holistically healing spaces rooted in compassion and hope.
