What if creating a more just, connected, and compassionate society began with a simple act of awareness?

American Village is an immersive, experiential practice that invites participants to explore how communities are formed—and transformed—in real time. Grounded in the belief that America is still becoming, this unique experience offers a living laboratory where we can examine how our choices, relationships, and presence shape the world around us.

Through guided movement and collective reflection, we will explore questions such as: What kind of future are we creating together? How do our actions—and our silences—affect the communities we inhabit? What can we learn about ourselves, our relationships, and the larger social systems of which we are a part?

Drawing on principles from Social Presencing Theater and Theory U, participants will engage in a simple yet profound movement practice that awakens our awareness of being interconnected members of a larger whole. Beginning with walking and gradually expanding into a wider range of movement possibilities, the experience invites us to listen deeply—to our bodies, to one another, and to the emerging patterns of the group.

Following the practice, participants will have an opportunity for guided reflection, exploring both what occurred and how it was experienced. Together, we will consider how greater awareness of our participation in community can help us respond more intentionally to the challenges and possibilities of everyday life.

No prior movement experience is necessary—only curiosity, openness, and a willingness to explore what becomes possible when we create the future together, one moment at a time.
