When asked, “How can we ever find hope?”,

the authors’ answer is always:

“One cannot find hope. We must create it.”

What does it mean to choose peace when the world insists on division? How do we remain open to one another across experiences of grief, trauma and loss?

Join us for a four-week virtual book club exploring the powerful New York Times bestselling book, The Future is Peace: A Shared Journey Across the Holy Land by Aziz Abu Sarah and Maoz Inon. Through personal storytelling, honest reflection and courageous dialogue, the authors invite readers into an extraordinary friendship forged in the midst of unimaginable pain. After both lost family members to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Aziz and Maoz chose a path the world rarely expects: reconciliation over revenge, relationship over hatred, and hope over despair.

Each week, participants will read a section of the book independently and then gather on Zoom for thoughtful conversation and reflection on Thursday evenings from 6:30–8:00 p.m. (July 23 & 30, August 6 & 13). Together, we will explore themes of humanity, healing, forgiveness and the possibility of peace—both in the Holy Land and within our own communities and relationships.

Grounded in the spirit of deep listening and compassionate presence, our conversations will follow guidelines inspired by the Circle of Trust® Touchstones from the Center for Courage & Renewal, creating space for respectful dialogue, openness and transformation. Whether you come with questions, sorrow, curiosity or hope, you are welcome in this shared journey toward deeper understanding and peace.
