““It is through weakness and vulnerability that most of us learn empathy and compassion and discover our soul. Human beings are actually created for the transcendent, for the sublime, for the beautiful, for the truthful… and all of us are given the task of trying to make this world a little more hospitable to these beautiful things.”  ― Desmond Tutu

Creation in November offers us the muted colors of acceptance and surrender.  The trees intensify their witness of “letting go,” and invite us to do the same.  As we reflect on the gifts of the journey, we reverence both the losses that have transformed us and the abundant harvest we have known.

On this quiet day of sharing and quiet presence, we will look to the wisdom of Desmond Tutu to cherish the life we share in both profound sorrow and deep joy.  We will continue to explore the understanding of moral injury as a way to name our reality in hope and resilience.  Creation, poetry and simple engagement in art will accompany us.

This program is offered free of charge.  Transportation assistance is available.  Please contact programs@cranaleith.org.
