Exploration is really the essence of the human spirit.

The Case for This Community

Not surprisingly, fifty years of research by Gallup, Pew, McKinsey and others has shown that when employees are engaged, productivity goes up and signs of employee distress – anxiety, anger, depression and burnout – go down.  Yet today, employee engagement in the workplace is at an all-time low and employees are reporting unprecedented levels of workplace distress.  What can a leader do to address this?  Indeed, what can such a leader do who is also feeling this distress?

Nurturing the human spirit can be seen as a daunting task.  “Ignite the Spirit of Purpose in the Workplace” sessions will enable you to refine your skills with an understanding that human spirit is a critical component to a happy, successful and productive workforce.  Let the human spirit guide you in leadership.  Participating in this community will enable you to become more inspiring, a better listener and a more compassionate and positive leader.

Description of Ignite the Spirit of Purpose in the Workplace

Cranaleith invites you to join a new community of business and nonprofit leaders.  Each month we will explore questions such as:

  • What does the human spirit have to do with the workplace and leadership?
  • How can I manage my own work experience in a way that enables me to feel whole, purposeful and appreciated?
  • How can I lead in a way that nurtures the spirit and infuses purpose and meaning in the work?

Our intention is to cultivate a mindset of wisdom and reflection in the workplace for leaders.  If this sounds like you, you will find a home here.

Each gathering will center around discussing an aspect of human spirit in the workplace.  Sessions will also include time for socializing, refreshment and reflection.  Lastly, you will be invited to reflect on what has been meaningful in the discussion for you personally.  Please bring a journal and your business cards.
