One Foot in front of the Other: Spiritual Walking Practices
In these troubled times, our spiritual lives can feel stalled or paralyzed with hopelessness, fear or loneliness. Maybe the road feels like it has ended, or we’ve lost our way. Maybe the roadblocks have become too huge and we don’t have the strength to go on.
A variety of walking practices have developed to help us keep going on our spiritual journeys. If you are looking for a way to find hope, courage and resilience in the face of life’s challenges, come to Cranaleith’s lovely grounds on a spring day to sample the following walking practices:
- the labyrinth
- the Way of the Cross
- an awe walk
- contemplative walking in nature
Bernadette will introduce each practice and the group will experience it together. Then we will have time to reflect using journaling, song, poetry and/or discussion before we try the next practice.
