Whether you care for the dying, are wrestling with grief, or are searching for deeper spiritual understanding, this book circle will invite you to reflect with others on hope, loss, gratitude, and the paschal mystery, in a space of wisdom and compassion.
While I Breathe, I Hope is a moving collection of personal reflections by theologian Richard R. Gaillardetz, written during his journey with terminal pancreatic cancer. Drawing from his CaringBridge posts, Gaillardetz signs off each entry with the Latin phrase dum spiro, spero — “while I breathe, I hope.”  In this work, Gaillardetz offers intimate, honest insights into faith, suffering, and the mystery of dying.
Join us for Summer Book Circle where we will spend time reflecting on the meaning and impact of Gaillardetz’ words and journey on our lives.  Each week we will reflect on 6-7 chapters of While I Breathe, I Hope.  Each session will include:
  • Opening meditation and music
  • Small and large group sharing
