The Abundance of Sunchokes: A Hands-on Harvest & Tasting Experience
Jess Wszolek
November 16, 2025
Ever dug for treasure in a garden? Come join us as we unearth the golden bounty of Jerusalem artichokes—also known as sunchokes—from Cranaleith’s lower garden!
This free, educational volunteer experience is a chance to get your hands in the soil, learn about this hearty native plant, and taste its nutty, artichoke-like flavor. Participants are welcome to take a tuber home to start their own patch of these edible beauties!
We’ll meet in the lower parking lot at 10:00 AM. Shovels and gloves provided—just bring your curiosity and a love for the land! We’ll end with a tasting session and possibly a light lunch (details coming soon).
Let’s dig into the abundance together!
