Warren B. Cooper

Warren B. Cooper has been a professional musician since the age of 9. With roots in a wide diaspora of traditions, his performance presentation is a gumbo of distinctive artistry. As a vocal specialist, he reaches to give voice to the matters of Spiritual Awakening, Human Rights, and the Sanctity of our Planet. He has released several music recording projects in various genres; his latest is a Jazz CD entitled “The Permanently Peaceful Project” – A Musical Practicum For Peace, available on all music streaming platforms.

Warren is the Campaign Coordinator for the TAKE 5: Stop The Violence Campaign, promoting the TAKE 5 Violence De-Escalation Protocol. He is also a member of the Executive Leadership Team at Johnson C. Smith Theological Seminary in Atlanta, GA. For 28 years he was the founding host and producer of OVATIONS Gospel Music Radio on the Temple Public Radio Network. With careers in Pennsylvania state politics and New Church Development Ministry, Warren has also served as a Teaching Artist for the Kimmel Cultural Campus Education Program, and as an Arts Administrator for the Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz & Performing Arts.
As a performance artist, content creator and musician, Warren pursues virtuosity as an ultimate vehicle of expression. His wide array of experience and his passion for Human Rights, Environmental Justice and Spiritual Health, yields a uniquely flavored approach to putting a Message In The Music.

Warren has been a featured performer at the Scranton Jazz Festival, the Washington National Cathedral, South Jazz Kitchen, and at liturgical and private events in conference centers, sanctuaries, and concert halls across the United States. Today, he is most passionate about using his music as an inspirational tool for examining solutions to the problems that exist in our tumultuous world.

The Warren Cooper Jazz Consortium is a fluid collective of ‘1st Call’ Jazz Musicians united around the concept of creating a transformative musical experience in every performance. This ensemble combines virtuosity and creativity with a conscious approach that is Social, Spiritual and Inspirational “…making the room come alive with positive musical sensations…”.
